During breaks we walk the grounds along the Vecht. There's plenty we can arrange. A boat trip, lunch or dinner at a nearby restaurant, an overnight stay close by.

To get your MT 'on the same page' we build a 'one-page business plan'. If it's for internal use we follow through with a quarterly and annual plan. If you're raising capital we build an investor deck. Your team does the content. I bring process, examples and templates. I iterate with you until the strategy is solid. I also build the financial model.

For the second half of 2026 I have room for one new client

I work with a limited number of clients at a time. Sometimes a short and focused engagement. More often we find a rhythm of quarters and months and level up together over several years. From June 1 I have capacity for one new client.

I’ve learned I work best with entrepreneurs, founders, owners. Not with hired CEOs who are essentially general managers.

Your company has serious revenue and is growing. Most of your MT is already in place. This is the team that will run the company in the coming years and the team we’ll work with. Not that it has to be perfectly complete or everyone fully up to speed. Everyone will learn a lot.

The core of my work is strategy and bringing momentum. Team dynamics come up too. Difficult conversations sometimes. Good once they’re behind us. I help you through those as a team.

About De Kleine Strateeg (The Little Strategist)

I am based in Maarssen with my wife and two kids. Experimenting heavily with AI these days. Sailing when I find the time. My personal cause is Beterschappen, a foundation I started to help kidney patients improve their health through nutrition and lifestyle. I’m still an active shareholder in ISISPACE, the Dutch space company I co-founded.

When I founded De Kleine Strateeg in 2016 I made a deliberate choice: to do the work myself. Work that fits my experience, skillset. Work I get excited about. And bringing the people around me along in that excitement. Creating momentum. Making things that weren’t there yet.

I also like collaborating. I love my clients in scaleups and SMEs: capable, implementing big things in record time, doing it themselves. Very different from corporate managers. Great work with great people.
